Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built Plingzine because checking whether a website is accessible usually means
either expensive manual audits or developer tools that assume you already know
WCAG. I wanted something anyone could run in 30 seconds and actually understand.
You paste a URL and get:
• a 0–100 readiness score
• the specific issues we found, grouped by how much they affect real users
• a plain-English fix for each one (with a link to a deeper guide)
It runs the open-source axe-core engine (the same one behind Lighthouse) — 70+
automated WCAG checks per page. It's free and there's no signup.
I'm trying to be honest about the limits: automated testing only catches roughly
30–50% of issues, so the score is a readiness signal, not a stamp of approval —
and definitely not legal advice. For the whole site, there's an optional paid PDF
audit and weekly monitoring, but the free check stands on its own.
Fun detail: the site scores 100/100 on its own check (it'd be embarrassing
otherwise 🙂).
I'd love feedback — especially on whether the issues + fixes are clear enough for
non-experts. Try it on your own site and tell me what's confusing.
Thanks!
