I recently switched to NixOS (Linux distribution) and in the process of setting it up, found the package search on its repo site very clunky and tedious. No permalink to share, no way to find or sort by recency or version. That got me thinking that most repo websites have the same issue with UX.
So I built pkg.bot with the specific goals: a) extremely fast b) good UX c) advanced searching and filtering.
pkg.bot allows searching across 2.7m+ packages and 100+ Linux repositories in single to double digit milliseconds.
