Hey Product Hunt 👋
Most "free image compressors" upload your photo to a server, shrink it there, and send it back. For an ID photo or a work doc, that means a copy of your file sits on someone else's machine just so it could get smaller.
Pixo does the opposite. Everything runs in your browser (Canvas + WebAssembly) — files never leave your device. No upload, no sign-up, no watermark. It even works offline once loaded.
What's in it right now:
Compress, resize, and convert images
PDF tools (compress, PDF→JPG)
"Compress to exactly 100 KB" — for those government/visa forms with strict size limits
ID/passport photo tool with country presets
Available in 6 languages.
It's early. Two things I'm unsure about: whether people actually trust "client-side only" as a pitch or just want the fastest tool, and which tool to build next. Tell me either.
