PixelShrink compresses JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF entirely on your device. Your images never leave the browser: no upload, no server, no account, no analytics, no ads. It's not the next big thing. It's a quiet tool for people who'd rather not send personal photos to a stranger's server just to shrink a file. Adjust quality, resize, convert, batch a folder, download as a ZIP. If a file would get bigger, it keeps the original. Works offline after the first visit. Open source, ~44 KB, strict CSP.

Hey PH! I built PixelShrink because almost every "free online image compressor" is really a data-collection page with a compressor bolted on. Yours go to their server, get logged, sometimes get "temporarily stored" forever. Mine physically can't do that. It's a static page, images are processed by your own browser via Canvas, and a strict CSP blocks any outbound request. No analytics, no ads, no accounts.
I won't oversell it, image compression is a solved problem and there are bigger players. But if you want a tool that just does the job and leaves you alone, it's here, free, and open source.
