I built Pixel Art Village with a simple goal in mind: to create a tool that makes image-to-pixel-art conversion fast, easy, and private. Many existing tools felt either too complicated, too limited, or dependent on server uploads, which is not ideal for users who care about both workflow efficiency and privacy. The problem I wanted to solve was straightforward: make it easy for anyone to turn ordinary images into pixel-style artwork, whether they are game developers, designers, or simply fans of retro pixel art. During development, my process evolved quite a bit. At first, I was mainly focused on whether the conversion worked at all. Later, I realized what really mattered was giving users more control over the final result. That led to features like adjustable pixel size, palette customization, and real-time preview, which made the tool much more flexible and enjoyable to use. To me, Pixel Art Village is more than just a converter. It is a lightweight creative workspace that helps people experiment with ideas, create assets faster, and explore pixel art in a more accessible way.
