What do you think? …

Cool Product. I am a PHP user myself. Will this work on something like Laravel or if I have a custom MVM structure? Or WordPress for that matter. WordPress would need it max as they are probably the most hacked structure I think.
Julia Zakharova
@thehighsecond The product is currently suitable for both WordPress and Laravel. Feel free to check the code with confidence and advance in your career. Perhaps in the future, when you evaluate the product in action, we would be delighted if you leave a review. Have a great day! 🌞
Theo
@thehighsecond YOOOO hey fellow Laravel dev! yeah, this works with the Laravel and SQL framework (in addition to some other ones!), soon we are also going to introduce Java and the like :D It will work with Wordpress too! Thank you so much for your interest in PHP Secure! We are so happy to finally present it to the world and so proud of the product we've created! Have you given the scanner a cheeky lil try yet? :D I recommend to put in some Obviously Faulty code in just to see the magic happen right in front of your own eyes! :D

@theological Will do.
Julia Zakharova
@thehighsecond We will be glad!

I haven't used PHP since 2015 when I was working with Piwik. I think PHP Is heavily under utilized but as a Node.js and .NET dev I don't see myself going back anytime soon! Great product though, reminds me of SonarQube back in my corporate days!
Theo
@kingromstar oh hi Rami! I remember you! Thanks for your feedback! Can you tell me why you prefer node over PHP? :D
Julia Zakharova
@kingromstar Rami, thanks for coming in. It's okay to change something in your life to become a better person. You changed your programming language, and I was still working as a secretary at the time. But we took Node.js and .NET with the team) Thanks for the response! Any question or suggestion you have is welcome.
Rami
@theological It's the same language on both the front end and the back end. Also, the node_modules ecosystem means there are millions of libraries with tested/proven functionality that already exist so I don't have to solve these common problems myself. Also, i believe Node was more performant back then but they might be equal nowadays, who knows!
Theo
@kingromstar aaah I see. Thanks for such a detailed response! I myself am an old-fashioned (lover) boy ahahha so I really enjoy the like. Idk the feel of PHP ig, I can't really describe it. Like I just really enjoy working with PHP but yeah it has been suggested a bunch of times to me by my coding laddies to try out Node, hence my question to you :D I might give it a go in the future! Hold on a second -- are you a FullStack Dev? :o Am I truly seeing a unicorn in the wild? :D
Julia Zakharova
@theological You're irresistible as always, Theo! 😉
Charlie
Congrats on the launch 🎉 Such a cool product for programmers!
Kristina
@charlie_php really appreciate the kind words! By the way, we are already working on the next feature which is Automated secure code checks in your workflow. The idea is to integrate the scanner into your Git to run auto-checks and extend your CI/CD workflow. What do you think about the idea?
Julia Zakharova
@charlie_php Hi! Thanks for the kudos. What do you think of our video on the usefulness of PHP Secure?
Charlie
@kristina_ka Sounds like a great idea for potentially increasing the efficiency of workflows!
Charlie
@julia_zakharova2 The video is very neat and gives a great synopsis on the product 👌🏼
Julia Zakharova
@charlie_php It's really nice when the graphics get the message across to the users. Thanks for your opinion!
Shikha Singh
Congrats on the launch guys!! Seems like a very important & innovative tool for developers.👍 It's best to assess your code early, on for risks.🛡️No sign-up & card details is really cool too!!
Kristina
@shikha_singh15 exactly! Thank you for the support ❤️ By the way, I'm interested to hear your opinion. At what stage do you think a code should be checked for vulnerabilities? While the developer is still writing it or after it's been uploaded to production?
Julia Zakharova
@shikha_singh15 Thank you for appreciating the idea of PHP Secure! We also do not store scanned code, which is safe for our users. Feel free to share your opinion. We will be glad to hear it! 👍🏼
Julia
@shikha_singh15 @julia_zakharova2 What is also important is that PHP Secure guarantees complete privacy and confidentiality of your code and vulnerability reports. Our scanner is fully end-to-end encrypted!
Shikha Singh
@julia_kot : Awesome! A security product with customer's data security also in mind👍

@julia_kot @shikha_singh15 Heart to heart!)

Congratulations on launching your code scanner on Product Hunt! 🚀 It’s impressive to see a tool that not only identifies critical vulnerabilities swiftly but also offers actionable recommendations. The fact that it’s user-friendly and doesn’t demand specialized knowledge is a game-changer. Cheers to safer code and enhanced productivity! 🛡️ One suggestion I have is to maybe integrate a feature that allows users to schedule automated scans periodically. This way, teams can ensure their codebase remains secure over time without manual intervention. It would be a great addition to the already robust set of features you offer! Keep up the fantastic work! 👍
Kristina
@narendra_solanki thank you for your feedback and this valuable suggestion, we do plan on such updates ❤️ We worked hard to make a product you’ll enjoy. Have you tried our scanner in action already?
Julia Zakharova
@narendra_solanki Excellent proposal for scheduled checks! It will really help to remove the routine and schedule, especially if the project is constantly being improved. Thank you for taking the time for us! 👍
Narendra Solanki
@julia_zakharova2 Absolutely, automated scheduled checks can be a game-changer for ongoing projects. It’s all about making the process more efficient and seamless. I’m glad you see the value in it. Always happy to share thoughts and contribute to the community! 😊
Narendra Solanki
@kristina_ka Yes, I’ve noticed the hard work behind it! I haven’t tested the scanner fully yet, but I’m eager to see it in action soon, especially with the planned updates. Kudos to the team! 👏
Kristina
@narendra_solanki great to hear! Please share your feedback after testing. I hope you'll find it useful and convenient 😊

@julia_kot @julia_zakharova2 @theological @kristina_ka Congrats team on the launch. I've been seeing you guys being very active and persistent in your efforts toward this and I hope it turns out great today! I wish you all the best, take the top spot :)
Kristina
@neelptl2602 Thank you for your feedback! We'll continue working on ensuring PHP Secure is the best tool for securing PHP code. Isn't it convenient that the scanner does real-time detection and you don’t need to install any extra software on your PC?
Julia Zakharova
@neelptl2602 We had a very short sprint. Nevertheless, the marketing idea requires validation. And today marks the culmination of this validation. Thanks for dropping by! 🔥
Kirill Sokol
👏 Awesome tool for code security! 🛡️ How often does it update its vulnerability database to stay ahead of emerging threats?
Kristina
@malkielfalcone thank you! That's a good question! We stay up-to-date, and the whole team works every day to improve the accuracy of checks and add new info on threats. PHP Secure is powered by a powerful and growing database of vulnerabilities. Multiple tests have shown that the scanner detects issues with very high accuracy and a minimal rate of false positives.
Julia Zakharova
@malkielfalcone Hi! Thanks for the words of support! Updating the PHP Secure database is an ongoing process. Try scanning your product, it's risk free. We don't store your code after scanning, only the elements for report output.
Julia
@malkielfalcone @julia_zakharova2 yer, after code is scanned, it is immediately deleted from our servers. To rescan your code, you need to reupload it or specify your Git repository again. This ensures maximum data security. Only you can view your vulnerability reports, and you have to be signed in to your account to do so.
Julia
@malkielfalcone @julia_zakharova2 What is also important is that PHP Secure guarantees complete privacy and confidentiality of your code and vulnerability reports. Our scanner is fully end-to-end encrypted!
