Hi everyone! 👋
I'm Phillip, the creator of Phillux.
Given the recent shifts in the virtualization landscape (especially the VMware/Broadcom licensing changes), many teams and homelabbers are looking for leaner alternatives to complex enterprise hypervisors or bloated multi-node setups.
I built Phillux around a single core philosophy: powerful bare-metal virtualization with minimal operational ballast.
Key highlights of Phillux:
• Runs lean: One service, one binary, single-file backup on standalone hosts.
• Real Clustering & Live Migration: Cluster nodes side by side and live-migrate VMs over shared OCFS2 storage without downtime.
• Windows 11 out of the box: Automatic unattended setup with virtual TPM 2.0, UEFI, and Secure Boot pre-configured.
• Bulletproof networking: The firewall attaches directly to each individual guest's virtual interface—a misconfigured rule will never lock you out of the hypervisor host.
• Built-in Labs & Training: Automated spun-up practice environments with network latency simulation and step-by-step scoring.
• Anti-Ransomware emergency brake: Hypervisor-level write pattern monitoring to halt malicious encryption before disaster strikes.

I would love to get your thoughts:
1. What is your biggest friction point with your current hypervisor (Proxmox / ESXi / Hyper-V)?
2. Which storage backends or guest OS integrations would you like to see next?
Thank you for your support and feedback!
