Hi Product Hunt! I built PetOS because AI conversations, reminders, coding agents, and messaging channels all live in separate windows. I wanted a small, calm layer that stays on the desktop and makes those systems easier to see and use. The character is more than an avatar beside a chat box: it moves, reacts, respects focus and quiet hours, handles local reminders, and can show understandable progress from Codex or WorkBuddy. Telegram and WeChat extend the same assistant to a phone while the desktop is online. Privacy shaped the architecture. Memories, history, reminders, settings, and agent events stay local by default. Remote AI receives only the context needed for the current request, and local Agent events never enter AI memory or mobile channels. PetOS is free to download with no subscription. I would especially value feedback on one question: what would make an always-available desktop buddy genuinely useful rather than distracting?
