I built it because I was tired of using three apps (notes, tasks, budgeting) that could all read everything I put in them. Penline keeps notes, tasks, expenses and PDFs in one place, and everything is end-to-end encrypted on your device before it syncs. Not even I can read your data. New devices are approved from one you already trust, and your recovery key is yours alone, no backdoor.
The free plan is the full app for one person, with no limit on how much you write. Encryption, sync and export are never paid features. Pro ($3.99/month) adds the biometric vault, budgets, PDF annotation and 100 GB.
Being upfront about what’s not there yet: no sharing or collaboration, no desktop/web app, English only. Those are on the roadmap.
