Hey everyone! Following up on our recent launch, I ve been working hard on user feedback and just shipped a massive update to pdfcevir.
Here is what s new:
Full Offline Mode (PWA): By localizing all JS libraries (pdf-lib, jszip, etc.) and implementing a Service Worker, the entire platform now works 100% offline. You can open the site, turn off your Wi-Fi completely, refresh, and keep converting. Maximum privacy, even mid-flight!
9 Tools Total: We expanded from the initial 3 tools to 9 tools total. You can now Merge, Split, Compress, Rotate, add Page Numbers, and convert PDFs to editable Word documents or images.
0% Server, 0% Logs: Everything still runs entirely client-side, right in your browser.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm the maker of pdfcevir. I built it because I kept needing quick PDF tasks done — converting images, shrinking file sizes, pulling text out — without wanting to upload my files anywhere or sign up for yet another tool.
Everything runs client-side in your browser. No servers involved, no accounts, no limits.
Would love to hear your feedback, especially if something feels confusing or breaks. Thanks for checking it out!
Does the text extraction handle scanned PDFs with images, or does it only work on PDFs that already have selectable text?
@keremlxy6c Hi Kerem! Currently, it only works on PDFs that already have selectable text. It doesn't support OCR for scanned PDFs or images at the moment, but we are looking into adding this feature in the future. Thanks for checking it out!
