Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built PDF Tools because I got tired of uploading sensitive PDFs — passport scans, signed contracts, salary slips — to "free" online tools that quietly store them on someone else's server. The terms of service always say "we may use your files to improve our service," and you have to trust them to delete things. So I rebuilt the whole thing client-side. Every tool — merge, split, compress, OCR, sign, PDF→Word, unlock — runs entirely in your browser using pdf.js and WebAssembly. Open your Network tab and watch: no file ever leaves your device. It even works offline after the first page load. A few things I'm proud of: • The OCR uses Tesseract.js, so scanned PDFs become searchable text without a cloud API • Compression hits target file sizes (handy for email attachment limits) • Everything is free forever — no premium tier, no ads, no signup, no upload caps Would love your feedback.
