Sometimes you need to narrow a case, anonymize fields, repair checksums, or export a focused reproduction file without losing track of what changed. PCAP Surgery is a local desktop workbench for inspecting and rewriting packet captures with visible consequences. It is not a Wireshark replacement and it is not a packet-player suite. The focus is controlled edit workflows: inspect, filter, preview, repair, export, and hand off a smaller capture that someone else can actually use.
