would love to see a way to export everything as csv or json so i can back it up or move it to another device later, since it's all stored locally that feels like a natural fit

Settings → Export gives you both:
📤 JSON backup — restore-ready, so moving to another device is exactly
backup on phone A → restore on phone B
📊 CSV export — spreadsheet-friendly copy for your own analysis
You're right that it's a natural fit for local-first: since there's no
server holding your data, portable exports aren't a nice-to-have,
they're the whole escape hatch. Your data should never be locked in an
app — even mine.
One honest note: exports are plain readable files, so treat them like
private financial records and store them somewhere you trust.
If you had trouble finding the export option, that's useful feedback
too — where did you look for it first?
Been looking for something like this that stays local. One feature I think would really help is the ability to export data as a simple CSV right from the app, so I can share or back things up without needing an account or third-party service.
@sevda9qob It's in there already — Settings → Export gives you a CSV (spreadsheet- friendly) and a JSON backup you can restore on another device. Both are plain local files: no account, no third-party service, share them however you like. But you're the second person in this thread to ask for it, which tells me the real bug is discoverability, not the feature. 😅 Moving export somewhere more visible just went on the shortlist — thanks for the (accidental) UX research.
Love the privacy-first angle here, the no account and no bank connection setup is exactly what I want for something tracking my payments. As a small improvement, it would be great if you could add a quick way to mark a subscription as cancelled so it stops alerting me, but stays in the history with the actual end date so I can see what I was paying before.

Marking a subscription as cancelled does exactly what you want:
✅ reminders stop immediately (only active services ever alert)
📅 the cancellation date is recorded, and the entry stays in history
under a "Cancelled" filter with what you were paying
💰 bonus: cancelled services feed a running "savings so far" number,
so you can see how much those decisions have saved you over time
There's also a separate "Paused" state for things you plan to come
back to, so pausing and cancelling don't get mixed together.

Most finance apps demand maximum trust (bank login, account) before
showing any value. PayClear can't leak what it never collects, so
trying it costs nothing.
And glad trials resonate — silent conversion is the highest-stakes
moment in subscriptions, so they get a reminder before the first
charge, not an apology after.
