Why Patra.email?
Because sending emails shouldn’t be the hardest part of shipping your product.
Especially in India where:
– pricing hurts early-stage devs
– deliverability isn’t optimized locally
– global tools don’t “get” our use cases
Patra.email is my attempt to fix that — starting simple, focusing on dev experience first.
Would love feedback from builders here 🙌

@dhruv_shah20 Congratulations on the launch and all the best.
So does these api work for all emails (gmail/outlook/others)? like a wrapper? and how would it connect to those emails?
Cheers.

@prashkom Thanks a lot for the good wishes! Really appreciate it 🙏
To answer your question, Patra works with your own business domain or any custom domain (which you'll also be able to purchase directly through our website). So it's not a wrapper around Gmail/Outlook/etc.
The reason is that platforms like Google and Microsoft have restrictions around automated/transactional emails on their consumer accounts, and they already offer their own paid APIs for that. Patra is built specifically for sending transactional and automated emails from your own domain — think order confirmations, OTPs, notifications, and so on.
Hope that clears things up — happy to answer any other questions!
