Stick a QR code on your car. Anyone who needs you scans it and sees your status - no app, no account needed. You get notified instantly. Manage everything from the ParkPing app. Saw somebody dinging a car but they ran away? Notify them. A tradie is blocking you? Scan the qr and find out when they are back, or tell them they are blocking you. Endless situations and possibilities.
I live in an area where there are not enough parking spots. Sometimes I wanted to save my neighbours from getting towed, but I had no contact and didn't know exactly where they lived. I've thought to myself, I'd want them to be able to contact me, but I don't want to leave my phone number on the dash, - this is where parkping comes into play, it's an orange sticker that a passerby can scan, and you can set your status (e.g. back in 5 minutes, doing a delivery..), and a passerby can also reach you, and let you know if you are blocking them or similar (don't worry, there is anti spam implemented!).
My dad is a tradie, and unfortunately, in Dublin it's hard to find parking, especially when it takes you longer than the job you need to do - and I think he found good use of it, so I hope you will too.
