Hi Product Hunt. OweRight is an iPhone app that helps people make sense of an IRS letter. You photograph the letter and it explains the notice type, the amount, the tax year and the due date in plain English, with each fact quoted from your own pages.
I built it because most IRS letters are routine but read like threats, and people either panic or ignore them. The scan is free. If you need to reply, there is an optional reply letter you can draft, and resolution options if you owe money. It does not replace a CPA, and OweRight is not affiliated with the IRS.
I would love feedback on three things: does the first scan feel clear, is the line between free and paid fair, and which notices should we cover next. I will be here all day to answer questions.
