OralInsulin MCP gives AI agents and human decision-makers a structured, source-backed view of the oral and oromucosal insulin landscape. It tracks clinical programs, market estimates, regulatory developments, manufacturers, partnerships and qualified relationship signals through MCP tools and a human-facing site. Built to help researchers, companies, investors and healthcare organizations evaluate evidence, compare claims and connect. Ask it anything: GPT-6 Astra answers by querying the same MCP
Diabetes is already a $1 trillion annual healthcare problem.
The International Diabetes Federation estimates that 589 million adults were living with diabetes in 2024, including 252 million who were undiagnosed. Diabetes caused an estimated 3.4 million deaths and accounted for approximately $1.015 trillion in global health expenditure that year. By 2050, the affected adult population is projected to reach 853 million.
Those figures describe the overall disease burden, not the addressable market for oral insulin. But within that enormous system, people who require insulin still depend primarily on injections or pumps. Developing a reliable oral alternative has remained difficult because insulin is vulnerable to degradation and inconsistent absorption through the gastrointestinal tract.
Oromucosal delivery presents a different possibility: absorption through the oral mucosa, potentially avoiding gastrointestinal transit. That promise remains investigational and must be demonstrated through product-specific human pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, safety and efficacy evidence.
We built OralInsulin MCP because the evidence needed to evaluate and advance that opportunity is fragmented across clinical registries, regulatory databases, scientific publications, patents, company disclosures and market reports. Even “oral insulin” frequently combines swallowed, buccal, sublingual and immunotherapy programs with fundamentally different mechanisms.
The MCP gives agents and humans a shared, source-backed evidence layer. It tracks competing programs, reconciles conflicting market estimates, distinguishes verified relationships from passive activity, and gives researchers, companies, healthcare organizations, investors and potential partners a way to discover the opportunity and connect.
This is a pre-launch research and partnership network, not an approved treatment or medical advice. The goal is to make the problem, evidence and people capable of solving it easier to find.
