Astra helped me turn onlysubs from an idea into a working Windows video-editing application as a solo builder. It helped connect local transcription, editable subtitles, caption styling, social-media previews, video clipping, and export controls into one workflow. It also supported debugging, security remediation, and deployment preparation—work that would have required substantially more time and specialist help on my own. The result is a free beta that processes videos on the user’s PC, rather than requiring cloud uploads or a subscription. Astra assisted development; it does not process users’ videos inside the app.
