Congratulations on your launch, Ashmil and team! 🎉 It's fantastic to see a product addressing the real challenges of cloud visibility for cross-functional teams. The emphasis on standardizing environments and tracking changes effectively is undoubtedly a game changer.
I'm particularly interested in how Onepane handles naming and tagging inconsistencies. Could you shed more light on this? How does your platform ensure that the data and alerts are mapped accurately to the right resources and services?
I thought this suggestion might help:
Integration with Collaboration Tools: A feature to integrate Onepane alerts and insights directly with popular collaboration tools (like Slack, Microsoft Teams, etc.) could streamline communication and expedite incident resolution within teams.
Keep up the great work!
Hi @uxyemi,
Thank you for taking the time to review our product.
Onepane has predefined naming and tagging policies that it periodically scans and evaluates. It then lists these policies as a report for you, allowing you to easily fix them in bulk from the UI.
As for how Onepane maps data and alerts, it automatically discovers your cloud resources and maps them to resources identified from APM, monitoring, and DevOps tools using various correlation methods. Discovering and mapping these relationships is core to Onepane's functionality. Therefore, when an alert or change occurs in any of your tools, Onepane already knows the relationship and can tag them accordingly.
Finally, we have integrations built with Teams, Slacks, and Service Now. More integrations, including Jira and PagerDuty, are already in progress.
I really like Onepane's "single pane of glass" approach as it simplifies cloud monitoring and compliance enforcement, addressing key challenges in cloud environment management.
Are you planning to incorporate predictive analytics for proactive issue detection? And what integration options are available with other cloud monitoring tools?
Based on what I have seen, I would recommend to enhance alert dashboard customization to cater to diverse needs.
@falak_naz_khan Thank you for your feedback. Yes, we do have plans to implement predictive analytics and recommendations in the near future. Our platform is already integrated with monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, DataDog, and others. We are constantly working to expand our list of integrations.
Congratulations on the successful launch of Onepane, Your dedication to tackling the complexities of cloud observability is truly impressive and inspiring.
@ashmil_hussain Congrats on the launch Ashmil! I checked the website and it looks convenient once the team starts using multiple clouds and monitoring tools. (I think because of Azure's AI products, this is happening more often.)
When I checked the pricing page, it was not so clear to me what "Resources Cloud" meant.
I'm looking forward to seeing Onepane to evolve!
Hi @atsuhiro_teshima We will be updating our pricing page to make it clearer within a week. Let us know if you would like to try it out for free. Our base plan will remain freemium for life.
Hey Folks,
Huge thanks to @kevin for hunting Onepane and supporting us. 🚀
I am Ashmil Hussain, co-founder of Onepane. I handle engineering/product. In the last couple of years, I have helped large enterprises with observability from strategy to execution. This involved working with native and 3rd party monitoring solutions and with cloud infra stakeholders on many use cases like service availability, governance, performance vs cost optimization etc. Getting a core view of all the data from multiple tools was the first challenge, then would be the challenge for specific teams to build their use cases quickly. Solving these challenges was the driver to building Onepane.
🌟 What is it all about?
Taming the chaos in cloud environments. Companies big and small have been building on the cloud. Many teams are developers who get going deploying workloads on the cloud, but often in a way that gets the job done quickly and not by best practices. Implementing best practices, whether adhering to compliance or architectural standards, hinders agility. We are on a quest to remove this friction.
This we believe sets the base right to achieve use cases that can sit on top. Use cases that are required as your projects and workloads on cloud grow, like AIOps, RCA etc
What problems are we addressing
👉 Naming and Tagging inconsistencies
👉 Resource allocation – over-allocation or under-allocation.
👉 Changes not tracked and accounted for centrally
👉 Alert dashboards scattered across multiple tools
💡The solution
A single pane of glass solution that caters to companies with small and big workloads, captures all data to give the exact state of the environment, correlates the data to present alerts and insights, and maps data and alerts to the right resources and services. With OOB integrations, connect your existing cloud environment and related tooling in a few clicks.
🌟 How it works
Onepane connects to your cloud environment and monitoring tools for semi-automated discovery. Whatever data can be auto-populated is fetched from the sources, pattern, and missing data identified. We have an intuitive workflow that prompts the users to complete or correct missing or wrong data.
The resulting environment map is verified by the system and user. The system continuously monitors the environment to auto-update changes, presenting users with the latest state of the environment.
Users can slice and dice the data to get their own view of metrics (cost, performance, compliance score etc) by project or services.
State, patterns, insights, and alerts are presented in dashboards helping teams
👉 understand their environment better,
👉 enforce compliance and governance standards
👉 accelerate incident resolution.
We look forward to sending you all the invitations so you can get started. Feel free to join our waitlist. Connect your environment and get going in a couple of clicks. Please do share your feedback, so that we can refine and build a better product for you.
