What do you think? …

Cat Noone
This is a fantastic product that can potentially save a ton of lives.
Mark Tholking
@imcatnoone Thanks Cat, we agree it is a huge problem. We found out while working on it that every 30 seconds in the US there is a crash involving drivers using cell phones and texting, and mobile use is now the leading cause of death behind the wheel. Definitely a problem worth fixing.

What's even more interesting is that it could be a cool hack to actually use for a local delivery business.
Mark Tholking
@BlendahTom Love the idea Tom. It would be great to help delivery businesses get an edge over competitors for free by using OMW, and eventually build them their own branded versions.

Feature request: for a paid upgrade the app lies about your whereabouts in real-time. ;)
Akshay Patel
@mgelgota Ha! Honestly one of the challenges I had with getting people to use Twist was they didn't want people to really know where they were.
Joelle Goldman
Got to test this out already and it's freakin' awesome! Can't wait to spread the word to friends and family :)
Mark Tholking
@JoelleSteiniger Thanks so much, Joelle. Would love to hear what they think.
Jonno Riekwel
Looks like it's the same as Routeshare (http://www.routeshare.com/)
Mark Tholking
@Jonnotie We downloaded routeshare but it isn't working in the US. What makes it your preferred app for sharing your ETA?
David Spinks
Definitely an interesting concept. Seen a few other apps attempt this one. Curious what you think you can do to make it successful where others have struggled? Why have others struggled? My hunch: No one thinks to turn it on when they start driving and while they're driving, it's more work to do than just messaging the person. For this to work, it has to take something that people already do (GPS?) and add it as a feature.
Mark Tholking
@DavidSpinks We think that others have struggled because their solutions haven't been easier than texting. Changing the user behavior of texting location will be difficult, but we think it is a poor medium for communicating something that fluctuates like ETA. We have to continue to make it faster and easier than texting, and one of our first reviewers believes we are on the right path: "Once I get a favorite destination set up, it literally takes 5 seconds to send my ETA through OMW." http://www.gottabemobile.com/201...

Missed opportunity not using Rusted Root - Send Me On My Way in the demo video

@eric3000 that would have been amazing:
the song we used was creative commons licensed, and the band was very cool about it.
