I'm an airline pilot, so international travel has been a constant part of my life for years. But the idea for Olyvra really started when I began exploring the possibility of spending more time living in Colombia. I quickly realized how complicated tracking days across countries could become, especially when tax residency and immigration rules are involved.
I looked at existing apps, but found them either too complicated, confusing, or unnecessarily expensive for what I needed.
I wanted something different: an app that does the hard work in the background, reconstructs your travel history, and helps you plan ahead without constantly entering information or worrying about day counts.
What started as a personal project turned into something much more sophisticated than I originally imagined. But the goal stayed the same: make a complicated problem simple, automatic, and affordable.
Olyvra just launched, and I'd love to hear what frequent travelers, expats, and digital nomads think. I'm especially interested in feedback on the experience and anything that could be simpler or more useful.
