Objective Tracker: All your goals in one place

Objective Tracker helps you keep everyday life and work on track. Organize tasks into sections, set deadlines when you need them, and use Day View to see what’s due each day. Track your progress with checkboxes and subtasks, and spot overdue tasks at a glance.

Hi everyone!

I have been searching for a goal tracking application for a years now and every app I tried fell short of my needs. I kept running into issues with other applications that made the user experience awful (ads, confusing UI, paid features, etc.) forcing me to ultimately abandon them. I was stuck using the Notes app to jot down all my goals. I like the Notes app, its simple and straightforward, however, its not really meant for my tracking and scheduling. I had to manually reorder goals, deadlines, and format every goal so its easier to get an overall view of everything at a quick glance and it all became so tedious. I was also forced to choose between writing down my goals based on their topic or based on their due dates, I couldn't have both. Inspired by the simplicity of the Notes app and a need for tracking/scheduling and a clear overall visual of my goals, Objective Tracker was born!

Some of the features implemented in Objective Tracker:

- Creating/viewing tasks under user designated sections/topics in "Section View"

- Creating/viewing tasks per day in "Day View"

- Optional deadlines

- Creating subtasks

- Minimizing/collapsing sections, and subtasks

- Smart reordering of tasks: nearest deadlines are on top followed by no deadline tasks. Completed tasks are moved to the bottom. Overdue tasks move to the very bottom under an "Overdue" label

- Visual cues: tasks due today are highlighted in Section View, overdue tasks are listed under an Overdue label in both Day and Section views

- Task interactions are only visible when the task is hovered to keep the UI as clean and simple as possible. No need to see tasks interactions unless you want to interact with it.

Objective Tracker is a hobby project that me and my partner decided to take up to help us with our planning and goal tracking.
