Hi everyone! I’m the builder of NursingLedger 👋 I built NursingLedger to make public nursing home records easier to explore, without requiring people to piece together information from separate datasets. NursingLedger brings together four CMS source families: provider information, federal penalties, reported ownership, and Payroll Based Journal staffing. The current release includes 14,693 facility profiles. You can search for a facility, browse by state, compare homes, and explore reported ownership relationships. One thing I care a lot about is making the limits of the data visible. Missing values are not treated as zero, calculated summaries are clearly identified, and the site does not add a proprietary quality score. You can try it by searching for a facility or opening a state directory and exploring a profile. I’d especially love feedback on the facility pages. Is it clear what each section is telling you?
