Hey everyone, I'm the student who built Notiq AI. One thing I kept noticing was that studying didn't actually feel like studying. It felt like preparing to study. I'd spend hours making flashcards, organizing notes, writing study guides, and trying to figure out what was important before I even started learning. By the end, I was tired, and the part that actually mattered hadn't even begun. I remember thinking, *there has to be a better way.* That small thought turned into months of late nights, trial and error, and learning things I never expected to learn. Notiq AI wasn't built by a team or backed by investors. It started with one student trying to solve a problem that I knew millions of other students deal with every day. As I kept building, I realized something else. Not every student has perfect notes. Sometimes all you have is a YouTube video, a PDF, or just curiosity about a topic you've never learned before. That's why I expanded Notiq AI so you can start with almost anything and instantly turn it into flashcards, study guides, summaries, quizzes, practice tests, and study games. The biggest goal has never been to build another AI tool. It's to make learning feel less overwhelming. I know what it's like to stare at a pile of work and not know where to begin. If Notiq AI can help someone feel a little less stressed, a little more confident, or make studying just a bit easier, then every late night spent building it has been worth it. The fact that you turned down outside funding to keep this free for students really shows where your priorities lie. Love how flexible the input options are too, going from a YouTube link straight to flashcards is such a thoughtful touch.

Keeping Notiq AI free for students has always been the mission, and I want to make sure cost is never the reason someone can't access better study tools. I'm glad you like the YouTube feature! I'm also working on a feature that will let students simply take a picture of their notes and instantly turn them into flashcards, study guides, practice tests, and quizzes. Finally tried it with a messy PDF of lecture notes and the flashcards came out actually usable, not just keyword dumps. Love that there's no paywall hiding the useful stuff behind a subscription wall.
