I switched from OneNote to Notion because OneNote never felt customizable enough for the way I work.
After using Notion since for a while, I honestly can’t go back.
OneNote is great if you want quick note-taking with minimal setup.
Notion is better if you like systems, databases, workflows, and building a structured workspace around your work.
They solve different problems, honestly.
Best advice:
Use both for a week with real work and you’ll immediately know which one matches your thinking style better.
Notion is one of the best tools that i have used for multiple tasks all at one and user experience is just awesome. from organising my to do list to building a full-fleged project roadmap. Although there is some issue in using it with a macbook. A working thread is forever active consuming internet and drying the battery out early than normal. i had to manually deactivate this thread name "nsurlsessiond" . I tried fixing it for a long time then i switched to its website version.
I've been using notion for a while now but mostly for personal use and just recently started to discover its full potential for teams and collaborations. There is still a lot I need to discover and learn, it has so many possibilities it gets overwhelming at times. But for what I've learned so far it's been absolutely wonderful.
What keeps me on Notion is the balance — it's the only tool where my PRDs, meeting notes, and team wiki all live in the same place without feeling forced. The linked database feature sold me: I can connect a meeting note to a roadmap item in two clicks, and that workflow has replaced 3 separate tools for me. Honestly pricey once you need Business tier, which is why I gave value-for-money 4 stars. But still cheaper than the stack it replaced.
Notion has genuinely transformed how I organize my work and life it's like having a customizable second brain that actually adapts to you.
What makes it fantastic is its block-based flexibility: drop in notes, databases, kanban boards, or embeds (like videos and docs) with a simple slash command, no coding needed. I use it daily for project tracking at InMobi, building roadmaps that sync tasks, assignees, and timelines in one view—plus Notion AI now drafts summaries, extracts action items, and even answers questions across my pages, saving hours weekly.firebearstudio+1
The real magic? It scales from personal wikis to team collaboration without feeling clunky. If you're juggling ideas, Notion turns chaos into clarity effortlessly.
