I’m Vagelis, the developer behind the Notificator Project.

I started building Notificator because I wanted a simple way to know what was happening across my websites and my clients’ websites without constantly checking dashboards, emails, or multiple services.

What started as a small experiment grew into an open-source notification platform with integrations for WordPress, Strapi, Astro and Node.js, a web dashboard, mobile apps, and even dedicated hardware devices.

Along the way, we’ve built and shipped tens of Notificator devices for free to early users, giving us the chance to see how the project works in the real world and gather feedback directly from the people using it.

The project was also presented at WordCamp Athens 2025, where we had the opportunity to introduce the idea to the WordPress community and share what we had been building.

Now, Notificator has reached its public-release stage. It can deliver real-time events from your websites through push notifications, email, MQTT, and optional dedicated hardware. You can create an account, manage API keys, connect multiple sites and monitor your notifications directly from the web dashboard, with the iOS app available for push notifications on the go.

The software is free to use and the project is open source.

And this is really just the beginning. There’s a lot more planned, including more integrations, Android support, and continued development of the hardware side of the project.

Quick update: we now have a web dashboard!

You can now create your account, manage API keys and monitor notifications from multiple websites directly from your browser. No mobile app required.

The iOS app is still available when you want push notifications on the go.

This also makes it much easier to get started with integrations like WordPress, Strapi, Astro and Node.js without needing an iOS device.
