NotesIQ is a free-to-install Chrome extension that turns your Substack Notes into a real analytics dashboard - every Note ranked by actual engagement, a best-time heatmap built from your own posting history, competitor analysis, and one-click scheduling. Reads your existing Substack session - no new account, no API keys.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Amit, solo builder of NotesIQ.
I've been posting on Substack Notes for a while, and kept running into the same problem: Substack's own stats tell you almost nothing. No way to see which Notes actually grow your subscriber count, no real history, no sense of your best time to post - just a like count that resets your sense of what's working every time you refresh the page.
So I built NotesIQ - a Chrome extension that reads your Notes through your existing, already-logged-in Substack session (no new account, no API keys) and turns them into an actual dashboard: every Note ranked by real engagement, a 7-day best-time heatmap built from your own posting history, a leaderboard of who your top fans actually are, and one-click scheduling so you're not composing live every day.
A few things I care about that are worth calling out:
• Your data stays on your device by default - Notes, profile, and stats live in your browser's IndexedDB. The one disclosed exception is AI features and license checks, which call our relay to work at all - we list exactly what that sends and why.
• It's a one-time $19 for lifetime access to the full dashboard and scheduler - no subscription for the core product. An AI Coach add-on (Ghostwriter + Post Coach) is a separate $9/mo for anyone who wants it.
• No account, no email, no signup wall - install it, open Substack, and it just works.
I also built a couple of free tools while researching this, no login needed: a Notes Checker that scores a draft Note against published research, and a generic Best-Time-to-Post calculator.
Would love to hear what you think - especially if you already post on Substack. What's the thing about tracking your Notes that annoys you most? I'll be in the comments all day.
