NotePom is a calm, local-first workspace for capturing notes, files and ideas without overthinking structure first. It combines a Notion-like writing space, a file library, public pages, sync, export...

How does the sync work under the hood and is there a self-hosted option for the local-first setup?
Thanks for the comment @tunahaneoaz !
The base version already works locally without an account (in the browser’s local storage), and export is already available.
Sync is optional: when you sign in, NotePom uses the hosted API to keep your devices up to date.
No self-hosted sync option yet with an account, but the upcoming desktop app is built with Tauri, so the local-first direction is definitely core to the product 🙏
How does the sync actually work under the hood, especially if I'm working offline for a few days before reconnecting?
@emirhannw4m NotePom keeps your workspace local first, so if you’re offline for a few days you can keep writing and organizing your notes on that device.
When you’re back online and signed in, the app sends the local changes made offline to the hosted API, then pulls the latest remote changes so your other devices can catch up too.
Without an account, it simply keeps storing everything locally on that device.
The local-first approach is refreshing and the Notion-style editor feels snappy without the usual lag. Public pages being built in by default is a nice touch for sharing work fast.
