Hey Product Hunt!
I built Notch Folder Tidy because my Downloads folder kept turning into a tiny disaster zone.
It’s a native macOS app that watches folders and organizes files automatically based on editable rules. The main idea is simple: automation should still feel safe, so every important move can be previewed, reviewed, and undone.
A few things it supports:
- Monitor custom folders
- Edit rules for images, documents, archives, media, code, etc.
- Preview moves before organizing
- Undo recent organization
- Drop files near the notch area for quick actions
- Custom shortcut to open the panel
- English / Chinese UI
It’s open source, early, and built with Swift / SwiftUI.
I’d love feedback from Mac users who constantly clean their Downloads, screenshots, design assets, or project folders.

Love how the notch drop hub actually feels useful instead of gimmicky, and the preview before moving saved me from misfiling a few times already.
