Hey Product Hunt — I’m Yanuar, an indie Android maker from Indonesia. I built NobodyCalls because I wanted one simple rule for my phone: people I know can ring; numbers I don’t know should not interrupt me. Most caller-ID products solve this with a large shared database. That can be useful, but it was the wrong tradeoff for this app. NobodyCalls checks incoming numbers against the contacts already on your phone. Contacts, caller numbers, your allowlist, and screening history stay on-device. What it does: • lets contacts ring normally; • silences unknown numbers by default, with reject as an option; • keeps a local history so you can see what happened and allow a number later; • lets you pause protection or allow important exceptions; • gives you one gentle weekly recap of the calls that stayed quiet. Every functional feature is free. There are no ads and no data selling. If it helps, there is an optional one-time way to support development; that only adds a cosmetic thank-you badge. I also want to be honest about the limits: NobodyCalls does not identify spam, Android may not expose every hidden number, and call-screening behavior can vary across devices, dialers, carriers, and Android versions. When the information needed to decide is missing, the app lets the call through. I’d especially love feedback on two things: 1. Does the permission/setup explanation give you enough confidence? 2.
