Nimbus is a small shared design system compiled to bulletproof HTML via MJML: one header, footer, and button config powers all 12 templates, semantic colour states for receipts and billing failures, zero stock photos, and the MJML source is included so you can actually reskin it, not just swap placeholder text.

Maker here. This came out of noticing the same pattern on every SaaS project I've touched: a welcome email, a password reset, a receipt, a dunning notice, each one usually built separately, in a slightly different style, by whoever had five minutes that week. Nothing shared, nothing consistent, and changing a brand colour meant editing twelve files by hand.
I started with plain HTML tables, the usual way anyone hand-codes an email. That got old fast once there were more than two or three templates to keep in sync. Nimbus is what came out of rebuilding it properly: one shared design system in MJML, so a header, footer, or button style change propagates to every template automatically, plus semantic colour states so a payment-failed email actually looks urgent instead of just saying so in words.
Genuinely curious: what lifecycle email do you find yourself rebuilding from scratch on every new project? Would love to know if there's a template missing from this set that you'd actually use.
