I moved to Dallas from Seattle and realized that it had a richer nightlife, but I was never sure of where to go on what days. So, I started thinking of how to bring together the disparate information about venues and how to organize them based on relatable themes like music genre. These thoughts led me to build Nightly Traffic, a mobile app that presents events and venues in an easily digestible yet complete fashion. We crunch down all the reviews, video and images we can find and intelligently decide what should make the cut in a single slide. We think of it as giving each place a 10-second elevator pitch. This enables users to quickly grasp what makes a particular place special, if it aligns with their interests, and when it’s best to go to a venue. Users can discover venues and events by just selecting a combination of theme. E,g latin pop + hookah + afrobeats
