One-click "New Markdown File" button for the macOS Finder toolbar. Built for the AI-native workflow of feeding context to LLMs. While other shortcuts exist, they don't appear as a dedicated Finder toolbar button. New-markdown also automatically enters rename mode.
MacOS Finder lacks a "new file" button which means creating one takes the extra steps of opening an editor, saving, navigating to a folder, etc. New-Markdown streamlines this with a one-click toolbar shortcut that instantly creates a blank .md file in rename mode. For anyone working with AI models, Obsidian, or just quick notes, it makes handing context faster by automating the file creation process. Feedback is welcomed!
