Hi Product Hunt! I'm Dmitriy, and I built NativeConvert.
It started with a simple annoyance: every online converter I tried uploaded my files to its servers first, even for a quick HEIC to JPG. That felt wrong for things like scanned contracts, ID photos or voice notes.
NativeConvert does the work inside your browser tab with WebAssembly: FFmpeg.wasm for audio and video, pdf.js and pdf-lib for PDFs, Tesseract for OCR, Whisper on ONNX Runtime Web for speech to text. Your files never leave your device. You can check it yourself: open DevTools, go to the Network tab and convert a file.
What's inside: 160+ image, audio and video format pairs (HEIC, WebP, AVIF, MP4, MOV, MP3, FLAC...), PDF tools (compress, merge, split, sign, OCR, redact), image tools (background remover, AI upscaler, GIF maker) and audio/video tools (trim, compress, subtitles). Free, no account, no watermark.
Honest limits: very large videos are slower than on a server because your own CPU does the work, and there is no Word to PDF yet.
I'd love your feedback: which tool or format should I add next?
