Nani Accounting: Accounting software you buy once. Your AI does the busywork.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Adam, and I built Nani Accounting.

Small businesses pay every month for accounting software, then pay people to do the routine work inside it. Most of us already pay for an AI that could handle a lot of that. So I built Nani around two ideas:

No monthly fees. Nani is $79 once, for two computers, with 12 months of updates. You can keep using your purchased version after that, subject to license verification. The first 100 people to purchase get $30 off!

Your AI does the busywork. Connect Claude Desktop, a compatible ChatGPT Work or Codex setup, or a supported cloud or local model. It can suggest transaction categories, answer questions about your spending, and explain your reports. Nani calculates the numbers. AI changes wait for your approval by default; optional Autopilot handles selected routine work within limits you set. AI provider subscriptions or API charges are separate.

How it works:
• Import transactions from CSV, QFX or OFX files. Use PDF statements to check balances.
• Answer a few plain questions; one answer can organize a whole group of transactions.
• At year end, prepare an organized package of records for your CPA.

Your company file stays encrypted on your computer. Internet access is required for activation and periodic license checks.

It's built for US small businesses using cash-basis accounting. Your CPA still handles tax advice and your return.

Which bookkeeping task would you hand to your AI first?

I built Nani so the AI you already pay for can do the routine bookkeeping, with you approving the changes. I'm curious where people would start. Categorizing transactions? Answering "what did I spend on software this year?" Getting year-end records ready for the CPA? Something else entirely?
