Hi Product Hunt! N-Ship helps nurse managers build a monthly 3-shift (Day/Evening/Night) roster without piecing it together by hand in Excel.
Building a 3-shift ward roster usually means a whole day of juggling Excel to balance staffing, OFF days and night rules. I built N-Ship so a nurse manager can set those rules once and let the generator draft the month, then fine-tune it by hand.
What it does
You set up teams, nurses (and nursing assistants, if your ward has them), staffing per shift, monthly OFF days and night rules.
The manager enters leave, weekday work/exclusion requests, pairs who shouldn't work the same day, and handover limits on the web.
N-Ship generates the whole month. It avoids patterns like a Day or Evening right after a Night. If some conditions can't all be met, it still produces a schedule and shows what was missed.
You can then edit any cell, check daily staffing stats, and export to Excel or an image for posting.
Want to try it without typing in your real staff? After you sign up, click "Try with sample ward" on the dashboard and generate a month. The sample ward takes about 20 seconds to generate.
Honest notes
It's built around Korean-style D/E/N wards. If your unit runs pure 12-hour day/night shifts, it may not fit.
The web app is available in English and Korean. The Android companion app, where staff view their own schedule on a calendar and a home-screen widget, currently has a Korean UI only. Staff can't submit requests from the app; the manager enters them.
There's a free plan for schedule generation and editing; paid plans are also available.
I'd love feedback from anyone who builds rosters: which rules does your ward need that I'm missing?
