Hi everyone, I am so excited to share the new and unique app that I build for Mac and iOS. 'My Lunar New Year' is a beautiful app that can decorate your personal desktop with an animated red lantern. Or with a Kumquat tree, or dancing lion head. And with the option to display you the days left until Lunar New Year day. Lunar New year is not always on the same day and this application helps you to know how many days to go when it is Lunar New Year. It converts the New Year date from the traditional Chinese agricultural calendar to the Gregorian calendar. When I first created this app, I want to make my desktop more vivid, personal, and not just static. So the first object I designed is the animated lantern. That is flickering on your desktop (and you can increase or decrease this flickering in the preference window). It makes the lantern more realistic on your desktop. The second object is the lion's head. Here I make the lion come to life with the mouth and eyes movement. And the last object is the kumquat tree. You place a kumquat tree if you wish for wealth and good luck. Therefore to make it more personal you can choose your own stone pot color for that tree. To tell you about my favorite widget in this app, it is the Zodiac Animal widget. Here I can see the previous zodiac animal, current, and next year's animal sign.
