This was a 3 day speed code for me to make something that would be based around music. Alongside being a programmer, I love listening to, making and curating music. I wanted a way for people to be able to talk and share their love, in an environment that felt fast, and left the users feeling in control. Music Pals was the result of that - and in fact, I only picked the name 20 and domain minutes before posting the TikTok to the internet. It takes a very omegle approach to conversation, but with the less random bounding factor being your music taste. Your music is pulled straight in from your Spotify account, and is updated every time you login to ensure your matches stay relevant. There are also some binding rules for the site: - you will never match with the same person again for the same song, - you wont match with the same song that you've matched in within your last 3 matches. All together it creates a fun, repeatable experience for talking about music, making friends and having a blast :)

I came across Music Pals on Twitter thanks to Viktoriia Vasileva and really liked the idea. Using music to meet people is a great idea, because you learn a lot about someone from music IMO meeting people with different music tastes is also awesome, and can be even better so it could be something to add to Music Pals This website is getting lots of attention on Tiktok with 1.1M views on the founder's Tiktok, which is understandable because music is a great conversation starter
