Munra is a private, offline first journal for iOS. Entries stay encrypted on your device only, with no account, no cloud sync, and no subscription required. It includes a daily mood check-in, speech-to-text, writing streaks, and an optional AI companion powered by your own API key. Every feature is free.

Love the offline-first approach and no subscription model, that's refreshing. One thing that would make me use it daily: an export option to Markdown or plain text files saved locally, so I can back up or migrate my entries without being locked in. Maybe even a scheduled auto-export to a folder I pick.
@kardelen415764 Really appreciate that, thank you! Glad you like the offline-first approach. Local export to Markdown/plain text is landing next week, so entries won't feel locked in. Scheduled auto-export to a chosen folder is a great idea too, adding it to the list.
is this app available in androids as well? ( if no then like r u ever planning to launch there or like if yes then when)
i read its features and i cant wait to try it out!
@aastha_malik1 Not on Android yet, just iOS for now! Would love to bring Munra over eventually; I want to get everything right on one platform first before spreading myself too thin. No timeline yet, but it's definitely on my radar. So glad the features caught your eye, can't wait for you to try it out! 🙌
If I switch phones, can I export my encrypted entries to move them over, or am I locked into the original device?
@ayhankroglpz1m You're never locked to one device! Munra has Backup & Restore built in (Settings → Data), which exports all your entries into a single passphrase-encrypted file you can save to Files, iCloud Drive, or wherever you like. Optional automatic iCloud backups are also coming soon, so this can happen silently in the background.
