Hi Product Hunt! I'm the developer of Mulan, a Safari extension for iPhone and iPad.
Mulan lets you choose Soft Dark, Black, Warm Gray or Paper and keep different settings for each website. A site can inherit your global theme but use its own image brightness, or you can turn the extension off just for that site.
It follows the system appearance or stays on/off manually. Supported regular images can be dimmed from 40–100%; backgrounds and videos aren't included. Settings stay on your device, with no account or analytics. The extension may fetch external styles and images used by a page.
Mulan uses the MIT-licensed Dark Reader engine. It is an independent project and isn't affiliated with the official Dark Reader app. Compatibility varies by website; it doesn't promise perfect colors or zero white flashes everywhere.
Available for iOS/iPadOS 16+, at $0.99 once on the US App Store, with no subscription or in-app purchases. Regional prices may differ. Gallery images include a demonstration webpage, not a guarantee of identical results on every site.
I'd love feedback on the themes and per-site controls. Which reading theme would you choose?
