Every time I needed to quickly share a log file or debug output with a teammate, I found myself opening Slack, waiting for it to load, navigating channels, pasting code blocks... just to send a 10-line message. I built Msg CLI because I wanted the fastest possible path from "I need to tell someone something" to "message sent." No browser tabs. No login screens. Just a terminal command. Msg CLI runs as both server and client in hybrid mode — you type `msg user`, your peer types `msg user@your-host`, and you're connected. Peer-to-peer, no middleman, no data leaving your machines unless you want it to. It's still early days — mobile support is on the roadmap, and I'm actively exploring better NAT traversal for trickier network setups. But for terminal-to-terminal messaging right now, it just works.
