Splits a recovery phrase, password or private note into shares held by people you trust, using Shamir's Secret Sharing. No servers, no account, no signup.

Most backup advice comes down to keeping your seed phrase in one safe place. But anything stored in a single location is a single point of failure: if it’s lost or destroyed, your funds are gone, and if someone gets to it, they’re gone too. Shamir’s Secret Sharing solves this elegantly, but the existing tools felt built for cryptographers, not for normal people.
Mosaic splits your seed phrase, recovery key or password into shares you give to people you trust. Any few of them (say 2 of 3) can rebuild it, and no single share reveals anything. Everything stays on your device: no account, no server, no tracking.
Feedback that would help most:
Is the idea clear on first use? Did “shares” and “threshold” make sense, or did you get lost?
Would you trust it with your real seed phrase? If not, what would change your mind: open-sourcing the code, a security audit, something else?
Who would you give your shares to? Would you want to store shares in your own cloud accounts? For example, one in iCloud Keychain, one in Google Drive, one with a friend. Would that make backups easier for you, or does any cloud storage feel like a dealbreaker?
