I noticed phone addiction is often treated as a a half-joke. I found it ironic that many productivity apps rely on the same addictive mechanics they claim to fight, keeping users hooked instead of helping them change.
In my opinion, their focus is misplaced: The real problem isn’t the phone itself, it’s the restless mind.
That's what drove me to build Monkeyless: a mindfulness-based app designed to create real, lasting change.
