Mom & Dad Bank turns parents into a friendly mini bank their kids can talk to, save with, and learn from — making big money concepts feel small, playful, and real.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
My kids started asking about money and I am pretty sure my school has no plans to
explain it.
That's the whole reason Mom & Dad Bank exists.
We somehow forgot to teach money — and most of us end up learning it
the expensive way, after the first mistake.
So I built the smallest possible version of a bank and put the parent
behind the counter.
You open a piggy bank for each kid. You add allowance for chores, gifts,
birthdays. They save toward something they actually want, invest a coin in
a friendly little business and watch it grow (or not — risk is part of the
lesson), and they can borrow €10 from you and feel what paying back €11
means. Compound interest stops being a formula and becomes a curve they
can see.
A few things to clarify:
• No real money moves. It's a learning ledger, not a fintech account.
Parents stay in control behind a PIN.
• Free. No subscription, no paywall, no in-app purchases, and no ads
pointed at children.
• No data sold, no ad trackers, no marketing profiles of your kid.
• Built for roughly ages 5–12, in 6 languages (EN/FR/ES/IT/NL/DE).
It's genuinely built for the kitchen table. Set it up tonight and you can
have the first money conversation before bedtime.
What I'd love from you today:
1. Parents — what money concept did you struggle most to explain?
2. What would make you hand this to your kid vs. just using three jars?
3. Teachers: we're working on a school version. Tell me what you'd need.
I'm here all day answering everything. Thanks for reading 🐷
