Well, hello product hunters 👋🏽 I know what you're thinking -- another productivity manager? Really? Well, if you'd engage with me for just a minute, I think you'll understand 😁 First, I'm Roze 🌹, the solo creator of this app and first-time Product Hunt launcher (though I've been a lurker for a long time) • I love bullet journaling, GTD, and always searching for better productivity methods! • I've tried and paid for many task manager apps but never found the perfect one. I kinda just settled for what existed 😖 • I've spent waayyyy too much time configuring things in apps like Notion to make the perfect setup and even then there's always something wrong. Don’t ask me how much money I’ve spent on buying templates 🫠 I have many different tasks spanning various projects (music, work stuff, personal errands, etc). I wanted all that to appear in one place, prioritized by importance, and organized by deadlines. And that's exactly what I built Modal is 1️⃣ opinionated (no heavy configuration needed!) 2️⃣ cheap (a free trial and then priced at the average cost of a latte) I'm really excited for you to use this app and to hear your feedback (please be nice, I'm a little scared 😳!).

Hey Roze, a big congrats on launching Modal! I'm intrigued by how Modal prioritizes tasks across different projects. Can you share more about the criteria it uses to determine importance? Also, you mentioned that Modal is "opinionated". Could you elaborate on what that means in terms of user experience? A suggestion I have is to consider offering more pricing options. While the cost of a latte isn't much, having tiered pricing or a student discount could make the app more accessible to a wider audience.

@new_user__29120239998af695869b433 thank you for the feedback! By opinionated, Modal has a few principles -- one of them being the order in which you complete tasks. This setup is out of the box requiring little configuration on your part compared to other task managers. Modal doesn't tell you what is or isn't important, that's up to you! However, I think there is room for "intelligence" like priority recommendations in the future perhaps :)
