Here’s what got me started: I kept seeing the same thing on TikTok and Reels — a new photo filter pops up, creators scramble to make one, and a week later everyone’s moved on. I wanted a spot where you could jump on a trend the same day, not after installing three apps and learning three UIs.
The real pain point: viral social posts start with a great image, but most AI tools split everything up. Photo filters live in one product, cleanup in another, portrait effects in a third. By the time you export, crop, and re-upload, the trend’s already cooling off.
How the launch evolved: Miroir started as a small set of fun image generators and grew into one browser platform with 460+ live photo tools — Ghibli-style filters, anime portraits, age progression, upscalers, and Play Mirror portraits (just for fun, clearly labeled — no DNA or medical stuff). @muhammetbelgin Great question! Video effects do cost more than still image filters — we charge 1 credit per second of video, so a 10-second clip uses 10 credits. That's totally expected.
The reason is that video generation is a lot more compute-heavy than a single image — the AI has to process every frame, so the cost scales with length.
If you want to stretch your credits further, just go with a shorter clip — a 5-second video only costs 5 credits.
