A simple PWA that tracks the confirmed cases of the Corona Virus on a heat map with complementary statistics of the confirmed, dead and recovered cases of the virus in the form of numbers, charts & graphs. ππ Data Source : Johns Hopkins University
This is great bro. I can sense the amount of efforts put into the project. Plus, the amazing UI makes it very readable. Some questions:
1. Did you use React?
2. Is it real time data or delayed data?

@harish_uthayakumar Thanks a lot!
1. Yes, we used React for this.
2. The data is as real time as it can get. Our source (JHU) updates their aggregated data only once in a day and we immediately update our maps and graphs from it.
@harish_uthayakumar Thanks Harish ! We don't update the data unless we get confirmation from prominent sources. So the data is as real and as real-time as it gets XD

Nice! I like that the user can choose their preferred theme. I'm a sucker for dark themes tho xD
As the name says, it's minimal. Great work!

@vipulchodankar Thanks a lot for the feedback! :)
PS: All of us are suckers for dark mode :P
That's a great Application you guys have created, Data Being visualized in graphical form makes it easy to understand the current overall situation of Coronavirus.
And the dark mode is just π₯π―.
@scientist_soham Thanks for the feedback! Stay safe! π·
Is there any feature that you would like to see in the future?

@scientist_soham I'm glad you liked the product. Our aim was to make it as minimal as possible for the users to understand the stats and the data.

Hello Product Hunters! πIβd like to showcase my teams hackathon project. We built this for BITS Goa, India (university) hackathon in less than 24 hours on the 1st of February when there werenβt many Corona Virus tracking dashboards out there and particularly, none of them were mobile compatible.
We noticed that all the dashboards at that moment were non-responsive and had a bad UX on mobile and the ones that were mobile friendly, were painfully slow, this was because all of them were running heavy graphics. We noticed that all of them had a lot of data and information too. Although the more the data, the more the better, the average citizen just wanted to be informed of total confirmed, death and recovered tolls, to stay updated on the damage of this deadly virus. So we built a very simple UI around this with statistics of the total confirmed, dead and recovered toll numbers with graphs for understanding the scale of impact of this horrible virus over time.
The intent of this project is to give a clear idea to the user of the current status of lives impacted by the virus, statistically.
We outsource our data from the GitHub Repo being maintained by the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering (JHU CCSE)
Would love to hear about feedback on this! Thank you!

Is there any feature you would've liked to see?
@shreykeny1 It certainly does the job well, but maybe add some prevention tips or some real time news regarding the topic to keep the users informed at all times.

@shaikharfan7 Hey Arfan! We had initially added it but dropped it in favour of a simpler UI.
We also felt people could easily get the latest news and tips on Google.
But thanks! We'll consider it for our updated version :)
