MenuView: Scan any menu and see dishes, translations, and prices

Hey folks, I’m Shannon, the creator of MenuView. I started building MenuView with a simple idea -- restaurant menus should be easier to understand. I wanted something that could turn any paper menu into a more visual, browsable experience so I could make better ordering decisions. That idea became much more real while I was traveling through Japan with my wife. I kept running into the same problem. Even with translation tools, it was still hard to know what a dish actually was, what it might look like, or whether it was the right thing to order. I found myself bouncing between Google Lens, Google Translate, and ChatGPT just to end up with the wrong order. MenuView is the solution to that experience. With it, you scan a menu, see AI-generated photos for each dish, get translations, view prices in your preferred currency, and can finally build your order more confidently. When you’re ready, you can just hand the phone to the waiter with your selections. For me, it opened the door to trying foods I probably would have skipped otherwise. That's really the point of the app -- to help people feel more confident exploring unfamiliar menus, especially when traveling abroad Hope you all enjoy it!
