MenuSpark helps you create files, folders, and complete folder structures directly from Finder. Create reusable templates for client folders, projects, invoices, documents, scripts, Markdown files, and more. Set up a template once, then access it anytime from Finder’s context menu. MenuSpark creates everything where you need it, including subfolders, predefined files, and optional file content. Less repetitive setup. More time for the actual work.

I originally built MenuSpark because I found it frustrating that Finder lets you create a folder from the context menu, but not a simple new file.
It started as a small utility to create files directly where I needed them. Then I realized it would be useful to save file templates too, with predefined names or starter content.
From there, folder templates felt like the natural next step. I often recreate the same structures every year, especially for client folders: the same main folders, subfolders, documents, and files to get started.
MenuSpark lets me configure those setups once and create them again directly from Finder’s context menu.
It can be used for something as simple as a blank text file, or for a complete client or project structure with folders, subfolders, predefined files, and initial file content.
What is something you regularly recreate in Finder that you would want as a template?
