Most digital menu tools cost €25–50/month, often with a 12-month contract. Delivery platforms take up to 30% per order. Menu en Ligne is different: the digital menu is free forever — not a trial, no limits. Diners scan a QR code, browse the menu with photos and set menus, and can order right from their table. Orders land on the kitchen screen in real time (€9/month, no contract).
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Grégoire, and I built Menu en Ligne solo.
It started simply: independent restaurants around me were still reprinting paper menus every season, or paying €30–50/month for a digital menu locked into a 12-month contract. That felt absurd for something that costs almost nothing to run. So I made the menu free forever, and only charge for the part that saves real time: orders going straight from the table to the kitchen screen.
The biggest turn came late. While building card payments, I dug into French law and realised that the moment an app records payments, it legally becomes "cash register software" — subject to certification costing €10–20k/year. So I cut the entire payment flow. Restaurants keep their existing till: less code for me, zero commission and zero legal risk for them. Removing a feature made the product better.
It's French-only for now. Honest feedback very welcome — especially on the pricing model.
